Casa Limón | Original Mediterranean Courtyard Painting

Casa Limón invites you into a sun drenched courtyard where lemons hang heavy overhead and the air feels warm and still. Beyond the arches, palms rise from coral vases, a fountain murmurs in a rose-pink alcove, and a turquoise basin glows on a floor of black and white tiles. It is a place of abundance and calm, where the Mediterranean and the tropical meet in one vivid daydream.

Built up in layers of acrylic and soft oil pastel, the surface is rich and tactile, full of the bold colour and pattern that run through my work. At 76 by 101 cm it is a statement piece, made to bring warmth, colour and a sense of escape to a room.

About the artist
Tanya Hayek is a painter and live artist working between Nice and Dubai, known for her warm palette and her fashion illustration. Her work and live performances have been created for Dior, Cartier, Ladurée, Raffles and W Hotels. Every original is made by hand in her studio.
